Physical: There will be 6 basic self-defence techniques taught at this level to deal with strangers. They are mainly taken from Wing Chun style of martial arts, which is the only style of martial arts ever developed by a woman, so the techniques are suitable for people of smaller stature and less physical strength; they are extremely simple, practical and efficient.
Mental: strategies will be discussed to encourage early detection and prevention of danger. Numerous success stories from past students and real incidents will be shared during these discussions. This knowledge is most valuable as you will be able to use these mental strategies immediately and incorporate them into your everyday lives.
The situational awareness topics for this level are:
Home alone.
– Home security.
Physical: The same 6 basic techniques will be practised repeatedly and refined. The learning will progress from ‘cognitive’ learning to ‘associative’. The punching and kicking bag work will be the ‘flashbulb’ moment of the course when participants will be so amazed at their power that they etch this pivotal moment of self-realization onto their memories. This is the core of self-defence, our own self-worth and self-confidence.
Mental: The situational awareness topics for this level are:
Safety in public – Selection.
– Safety in Public – Testing.
Physical: People we know – Most sexual offenders are people we know, so simple and effective “soft’ techniques will be taught to deal with these offenders during the first ‘intrusion’ stage before they go any further.
Frontal Attacks: The applications of the 6 basic techniques will now be practised with a partner for all the frontal attacks. The ease and effectiveness of the 6 basic techniques will be a rewarding experience.
Mental: The situational awareness topics for this level are:
People you Know
Bystander Intervention.
Physical: Back
Attacks: The applications of the 6 basic techniques will now be practised with a partner for all the back attacks and a couple of basic ground attacks. The ease and effectiveness of the 6 basic techniques will be a rewarding experience.
Mental: The situational awareness topics for this level are:
Safety on public Transport–
Safety in private vehicle
The main objective of the Course is to cultivate in the individual the mental awareness and the effective and practical techniques of self defence in order to develop a sense of empowerment and confidence.
