Not-for-Profit

Anne Pang Self Defence is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting disadvantaged women. It provides training as a voluntary service across Melbourne, partnering with other not-for-profit organisations to empower women in need.

One such partner is SisterWorks, where the Academy has delivered both workshops and training courses to women in Collingwood. As shared by SisterWorks:

“I truly believe that self-defence is the best way to protect and empower women. Thank you, Anne and Wil, for contributing your time, effort, and care to ensure our Sisters are equipped with the right mindset and knowledge.”

From July to December 2025, Anne Pang Self Defence delivered two free seven-week courses for migrant and refugee women in Dandenong and surrounding areas. This initiative, supported by the City of Greater Dandenong, was designed to enhance community safety by building situational awareness, mental preparedness, and practical self-defence skills, including techniques derived from Wing Chun Kung Fu.

The program also received recognition in the Dandenong Star Journal, highlighting Anne’s commitment to offering free classes to empower culturally diverse women amid increasing safety concerns.
